Funding

Even the best projects need a qualified funding.

The CNR depends on public and private supporters who understand and appreciate the current importance and future value of this unique institution. The aims of the CNR could only be achieved through the committed support of qualified partners.

Particularly the foundation "Alliance of Hope" initiated by the former German Champion in gymnastics, Ronny Ziesmer, who suffers from paraplegia after a sports accident in preparation for the Olympic Games 2000, is devoted to this aim. Ronny Ziesmer will use his popularity, on the one hand, to point the necessity for intense research in the field of paraplegia to the national and international public and, on the other hand, to help fundraising.

Further, the German chancellor, Dr. Angela Merkel, has realized the humanitarian, scientific and economic impact of the CNR and, therefore, has taken over the patronage of the "Alliance of Hope" foundation to promote the willingness to donate for the benefit of the CNR through her personal commitment.
